Boundaries III

Sunday again. Time for a large painting. Another quick photo at end of day and half in shadow but you get the idea.

Here’s the thing about consistent practice. Just as you feel like a failure with one thing, you strike onward and, lo, a success. At least from where I’m sitting.

I thought that I may have taken it a bit too far but now that some time has elapsed, it’s fine. As with previous Boundaries posts, some finishing touches are in order but not right now.

Thanks Heidi and Lynnie. I am returning to my true work and it feels good. (No hillside or forest, Heidi. Just the boundary of a yard. But what’s always interesting about my landscape paintings is what others see in them.)

Thanks, Susan. I appreciate that. Not exactly technique or talent but rather form. Will write more about that at some point. But who cares about the details (aside from yours truly) as long as you like it?
