Demo feat

18_Jan_14-Watercolor-workshop-demo-72

This afternoon, I taught a watercolor workshop for octogenarians, most of whom were on walkers, with a cane or in a wheelchair. Doing demos for all to see was a challenge.

I made the above with my back to the students, my arms stretched up above my head, holding the paper with a backing board in left and the loaded brush in right.

For a second, I felt like Mason Ruffner playing lead guitar for his band, The Blues Rockers, while holding his Fender upside down behind his head.

And then I felt like the youngster in the room.

I’m smiling. I can visualize you doing this painting. When we were on our Portugal trip, we were one of the youngest couples. It was nice to be the youngest again😀
